This is for those who only wish to participate in the Sunday Open Doubles League

Returning members register by Thursday, August 31, 2023 to guarantee a spot in your league(s) of choice.

Returning and new members registering after Thursday, August 31, 2023 will be subject to league availability, based on time of registration.

The closing date for all registrations and payment arrangements is September 15, 2023.

REFUND POLICY

1.. Upon payment (September 15), 45% of the membership fee and locker rental fee becomes non-refundable to finance the start-up costs of the season.

2.. Refunds will be provided for the number of weeks of unavailable curling out of the total number of weeks in the 2023-2024 curling season. Refunds will be offered until such time as the amount to be refunded no longer exceeds $50.

For “team play” leagues, all members of the team must register to guarantee a spot in the league(s). Ensure all team members are registering using the same SKIP’s name. If you looking for a team, indicate in the appropriate column in the league selection table below. If you belong to a partial team looking for players, please email curling@guelphcurlingclub.com with your team information after submitting this completed form.

All efforts will be made to ensure leagues are not oversubscribed. League coordinators will work with teams for agreeable schedules where possible.

Membership payments can be made as follows:

1. In full, by e-transfer (curling@guelphcurlingclub.com), Visa, MasterCard, debit, cheque or cash.

2. By six (6) equal monthly payments starting September 15, 2023 with Visa or MasterCard (one-time $15 admin fee applies)

3. By three (3) post-dated cheques (September 15, October 15, November 15)

• At a minimum, the first payment must be made by September 15, 2023 to be eligible for league play.

HALF SEASON - First-half season memberships (Oct to mid-Jan) are available for 60% of the listed fees. Second-half season memberships (mid-Jan to Apr) are subject to availability.

SHAREHOLDER OF THE GUELPH CURLING CLUB LTD. - All members, age 25 and older, must purchase a one-time share of $50 after two (2) years curled at Guelph Curling. Members discontinuing their membership may have their share returned ($45) or transferred upon written notice to the club.

DEFINITION OF FEES

ADMINISTRATION FEE - A member will be charged $20 for any NSF cheque.

CURLING CANADA AND CURLON MEMBERSHIP FEE - Guelph Curling and its members are a member of Curling Canada and CurlON. The membership fees of both are included within the base GC membership fees for those who are 14 years of age and older).

SPARING/JITNEY/DROP-IN - For the 2023/2024 curling season, you must be a member of the GC, except for applicable leagues that allow non-member drop-ins. Members may spare at no charge in other leagues, however, being the fifth player on a 4-person team is not a spare. Please indicate if you would like to be added to the spare list on the league table below. Drop-in fees are $25 per game unless otherwise indicated.

PRACTICE ICE - Practice ice availability is listed on the GC website. Practice ice is included for members of the GC. Non-members will be charged $15/hour or $25 for two (2) hours. Payment can be made through the office or at the bar.
