You've done the learning, now it's your time to shine and apply those new found skills.
This end-of year bonspiel is all about celebrating your accomplishments this season and showing off what you have learned. This year's theme.... WILLY WONKA! We encourage everyone to dress on theme. The day will be broken down into two divisions, 1. Junior/Parent/Guardian and 2. Adult Learn-to-Curl.
JUNIOR/PARENT/GUARDIAN DIVISION This is a chance for the junior curlers to celebrate the end of the curling season with the family members who have supported them on this journey. We want this to be a fun day for all and share some laughs in this non-competitive bonspiel. One stipulation for these teams is that a YLTC junior must skip. You may sign up as a full or partial team.
ADULT LEARN-TO-CURL DIVISION If you are looking for a fun way to end the season with other curlers who just learned the game this year, this two-game funspiel aims to be the next step in your curling journey. The goal is to have fun, get to play some games with new and old friends, enjoy some food and time in the lounge and maybe win win some goodies at the end of the day. You can sign up as a full or partial team, so everyone is welcome to sign up.
ELIGIBILITY
Junior/Parent/Guardian - this division is open to all juniors and their parents/guardians.
Adult Learn-to-Curl - this division is open to all participants from the fall and winter sessions.
SCHEDULE
- 8:30 am - Registration for the Junior/Parent/Guardian draw
- 9:00 am - Game 1 - Junior/Parent/Guardian
- 10:00 am - Registration for the Adult Learn-to-Curl draw + Games
- 10:45 am - Junior/Parent/Guardian Lunch and Lounge Games
- 11:00 am - Game 1 - Adult Learn-to-Curl
- 12:45 pm - Adult Learn-to-Curl Lunch and Lounge Games
- 1:00 pm - Game 2 - Junior/Parent/Guardian
- 2:30 pm - reward Ceremony - Junior/Parent/Guardian
- 3:00 pm - Game 2 - Adult Learn-to-Curl
- 4:30 pm - Reward ceremony - Adult Learn-to-Curl
- 5:00 pm - Optional Skate-Off (bring your skates and join other members on using the ice surface as a skating rink before we start the spring thaw)
ENTRY FEE The entry fee for two six-end games, lunch, goodies and lounge games is $50/curler. $25 for YLTC junior members.
An entry will only be considered complete when the registration form has been completed on this website and the payment has been submitted to the club. Acceptable payments include:
- cash or cheque at the office or bar 1
- e-transfer made to curling@guelphcurlingclub.com 2
