This event is a single knockout event to determine one women's and one men's team that will represent the Guelph Curling Club at the zone playdown.
Each team must have at least three players who have played together and are registered in a sanctioned club league during the 2022-2023 season. (ie. Monday Open, Tuesday Men’s, Wednesday Women’s, Wednesday Open, Thursday Ladies Team Play, Thursday Open).
If a replacement fourth player is used (ie. A player who did not play regularly on that team throughout the season) that player MUST play lead, and throw the first two rocks for all the ends and sweep delivered stones 3-8.
Each team will be allowed only one player who, during the previous three curling seasons (2021-2022/2020-2021/ 2019-2020) has played in the Canadian mixed, the Under-21, the Tournament of Hearts, the Brier, the Canadian Seniors, the Under-18, the Canadian Mixed Doubles or in any provincial leading to these events.
A minimum of three players must be a minimum of 19 years of age or older as of June 30, 2023.
All games will be 8 ends with ties being decided by a full extra end, with no pre-game practice. Last rock decided by a coin toss.
Any rescheduled games MUST be played before the next scheduled draw for your event. (Ie. Men’s or Women’s)
